Welcome to Rising Sun Church of the Nazarene

Congratulations Rev. Richard Moore!
Rev. Moore was honored at this year's District Assembly for his many years of service. Dr. Kenneth L. Mills the District Superintendent presented Rev. Moore with the Faithful Servant's Award.

The Rising Sun Church Family would like to thank Rev. and Mrs. Richard Moore for 40 years of loving service. We have different gifts based on the grace that was given to us. So if your gift is prophecy, use your gift in proportion to your faith. If your gift is serving, devote yourself to serving others. If it is teaching, devote yourself to teaching others. If it is encouraging, devote yourself to encouraging others. If it is sharing, share generously. If it is leading, lead enthusiastically. If it is helping, help cheerfully. Romans 12:6-8

Worship
Our Sunday morning service is informal in some ways but a sacred time. We sing both traditional hymns and contemporary songs of praise. Our services include organ, piano, guitar, synthesizer, drums and wind instruments. In each service, you will hear Biblical Messages that focus on GOds word and how to apply it to our lives.
Praying, singing and worshiping together, we endeavor to lift up the great name of Jesus Christ our Lord.
We Believe:
- In one God, the Creator of all things, who reveals himself as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
- In Jesus Christ, who is fully God and fully man at the same time, who became like us to bring about our salvation.
- In the Holy Spirit, who is active in the world, bringing us to salvation.
- That the Bible is the Word of God giving us all we need to know about how to be saved.
- That we are all sinners by both nature and act and need God's forgiveness and cleansing.
- That Jesus Christ died on the cross and that, by trusting in His death, we can be restored to a right relationship with God.
- That when we turn from sin and trust in Christ, the old record of sin is wiped clean, and we are born anew, thus becoming a part of the family of God.
- That after being born anew, we need the fullness of God's Spirit in our hearts. When we make a complete commitment to Him, He cleanses our spirit, fills us with His perfect love, and gives us the power to live our lives victoriously.
- That Jesus Christ is coming again.
