Upward Sports » Rising Sun Church of the Nazarene -

This is a new program that will be starting soon. Our church will be sponsoring a children's sports program. There will be soccer for boys and girls in grades Kindergarten through 7th grade.

Upward Sports Promotes Character and self-esteem in every child by:

* Providing an evaluation system that promotes equal teams and opportunities.

* Establishing a one-hour practice and game each week.

* Implementing a substitution system for each team, allowing every child equal playing time.

* Creating the opportunity for every child to learn the skills of the game.

Upward is more than a game. Your child will have fun learning or improving their sport specific skills through Upward. Participating in this league will give your child a chance to experience good sportsmanship on the off the court. While playing or cheering for Upward Basketball, your child will also receive a special recognition award after every game and have the opportunity to develop new friendships.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION:
The early registration cost per child for Socceris $75; after July 10th , the cost is $85.

Deadline for registration is July 17th.

EVALUATIONS AND ORIENTATIONS:

Everyone must attend one soccer evaluation. The will take place at The Rising Sun Church of the Nazarene Gym as follows:

Kindergarten Boys/Girls
Saturday, July 10th, between 9:00a & 11:00a
Saturday, July 17th, between 9:00a & 11:00a

1st through 3rd Grade Boys/Girls
Saturday, July 10th, between 9:00a & 11:00a
Saturday, July 17th, between 9:00a & 11:00a

4th through 6th Grade Boys/Girls
Saturday, July 10th, between 9:00a & 11:00a
Saturday, July 17th, between 9:00a & 11:00a

LEAGUE SCHEDULE:

First Game - Saturday, August 7th, 2010
